Budget
The NRL Hub locations and format have not been finalized for the 2022/23 season. At this time, we can only provide an estimate based on the 2021/22 season. Estimated fees per player are between $2500 to $4000, dependent on the number of hubs we attend, location of the hubs, travel requirements (driving vs flying) and our participation in CRC.
Corporate sponsorship as well as athlete fundraising will be used to offset these costs. Athlete fundraising opportunities include instructing at summer camps as part of our partnership with the National Ringette School as well as benefiting from Heat merchandise sales.
Fitness Testing:
To ensure the health and safety of all NRL athletes, minimum fitness guidelines have been established by Ringette Canada. These minimum guidelines can be found HERE. Fitness testing will be incorporated into the tryouts and results will be used as an evaluation tool. Results will also be used as a baseline for comparison testing throughout the year.
Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire:
All athletes attending the Pre-Tryout camp or Tryouts must complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q). Please complete the form below and bring it to the first event you are attending (Pre-Tryout Camp or Tryouts). You do not need to bring it to Tryouts if you attended the Pre-Tryout Camp.
